Stanley Uniting Church

October was a fairly quiet month in terms of numbers on both Sundays.

On 6th October the Rev. Caro Field led the informal evening service, followed by the regular shared supper, with Peter Bluck performing the role at the morning service on 20th October, again to a fairly small number.

Stanley’s church was well-represented at the annual “Rainbow Fair” held at St. Andrew’s Uniting Church, Beechworh on Saturday 26th October, where last year’s record was broken with total funds raised by the various stalls exceeding $10,000, of which the plant and produce stalls raised more than $4,000

Stanley Social Group

Once again we welcomed Adrian Duncombe’ visit to the Church on 15th October. Some very interesting items were discussed and evaluated. We always appreciate him coming to our group. Next month we will meet at the church at 2.00PM on Tuesday 20th November and then our last get-together will be our Christmas outing on Tuesday 17th December. This will be an outing for lunch and all partners/guests welcome.

Stanley Choir

Please note that after advertising our “Show” on Saturday 30th November, unfortunately we have had to defer it until next year. More on that at a later date. The singing group still continues to meet each Wednesday at 5.30PM at the church to practise.
