Stanley CFA - Stanley Victoria

Bush Fire Season is here – Fire Restrictions are in place.

During the bushfire season check the fire danger rating on a regular basis.

The bushfire rating for North East Fire District is indicated on a daily basis on the Fire Danger Rating Indicator located at the school on the Beechworth- Stanley Road opposite Rosengren Lane.

You can also check the rating online by visiting www.cfa.vic.gov.au and search North East Fire District.

Ensure your safety and that of your family by ensuring that you:

  1. Complete a Bush Fire Survival Plan
  2. Plan where you will go, how to get there, and what you will take
  3. Know the daily Fire Danger Rating in your area and what it means
  4. Have transport organised for all members of the family, including pets
  5. Actively seek information on the fire situation and weather conditions from TV, local radio and the internet so you know when to leave
  6. Have a back-up plan in case you are not able to leave early enough.
  7. What other safer places are there you could get to?
  8. Talk to family, friends and neighbours
The Neighbourhood Safer Place is a refuge of last resort. Located at the Stanley Recreation Reserve, adjacent to the Stanley Fire Station.
