National Broadband Network (NBN) at Stanley School

A NBN connection has been installed at the Stanley School, and in the Post Office, that brings a fast and integrated computer system for use by post office staff, and is being made available, on a pay as you use basis, to the community.

The system was installed out of a generous grant by the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) that provided a new freezer, fridge, and photocopier-printing station in the school.

A computer has been installed in a room at the school for general use by members of the community. Operating procedures and costs are available on inquiry at the Post Office, and the computer can be used for internet access, word processing, and related functions.

The public computer can be used during post office opening times.  Special arrangements can be made to use the system outside those times.

Memory sticks can be used to save work done using the computer as the system has been designed to delete all worked performed once the guest user logs off.
